Ten minutes later, back on the bus, the bison crossed the road right in front of us--holding up traffic for over ten minutes.
We made it to String Lake, though, and stopped for some smiles after discussing what makes a lake a glacial lake.
A scenic lunch!
From there, we observed (and saw!) pika. We read and meditated on quotations and poems from conservationists. We stopped for snack. We played games. We traversed muddy, muddy trails. And now it's back to campus.
