Bison hike Death Canyon

It was a contrast in weather. The morning was cold, snowy, and foggy. While the afternoon was cold, muddy, and sunny.

The bison get out of the van and ready for their 5 mile hike.

   Here we go!

The all important snack stop to refuel the bison.

Followed by a water break not too long after.

A pika challenge game - The poor pika as they scramble to find a den because habitat is getting scarcer due to climate change.
Finally, we make it down to Phelps Lake for some lunch and reflective water color painting.

After this relaxing break, we head back up, making sure to take many water breaks, and we are rewarded with incredible views now that the fog is gone.
