Ospreys in the field

The ospreys hiked a good five miles today. The hike included a bit of a climb which presented a good challenge.

We approached Lake Phelps in silence and spent a couple of minutes in silence soaking in the essence of the place. Eagle eyes Piper spotted a read fox and we all got to watch it hunt.

Then we went back to hiking.

Although there are no glaciers left in Teton National Park, the mountains were formed in part by glacial activity. We spent some time looking at the mountains and replicating glacial features in the sand.
